isn't the relay???? I,m having problems my self I get my hazards to work but no ither signals and I'm woried cos it seems there is only on relay for both, the swich it self wos funny after 14 yrs of use,so I replaysed it,but no change,so after wresling under the dash I got to the relay, but its to late to go and get a new one,I'l findout in the morning if the relay is my problem, and I wont have to get a new wire harnes :{ but I have bad feeling thogh, usully on vehicls there is two sep, relays forboth hazards and turn signals,I hope after yrs of use the blinkers that part of the relay is burned and we hardly ever use hazards thats why the 14 yrs old relay still works when hazards r used. But away it's a 1999 cavalier
An indicator relay, also known as a flasher relay, controls the timing and rate at which turn signal lights on a vehicle flash. It is an essential component in the turn signal system, providing the necessary signal to the bulbs to blink in a specific pattern to indicate a turn or lane change.
Flasher relay.
The turn signal switch is directly under the steering wheel. the flasher...(the device that makes the lights blink and is activated by the turn signal switch) is usually under the steering column between the column and pannel
Improper resistors.
what makes my 2002 inside lights will work during the day but not night, my dashlight, speedometer ,radio lights
try replacing the blinker under the dash that little box that makes the blinker sound
One of the turn signal bulbs is not working. This creates less resistance and causes the lights to blink faster. If you pull the bulb and check that its good you should then check where it makes contact. If you notice any green it has started to oxidize and is not making good contact. Clean the contact areas and apply a small amount of diaelectric grease to the contacts, which will aid in any further oxidation. Most any automotive will have a small tube for around $4. or less.
If by 'controller' you mean the switch that makes the brake lights come on, it is not in the trunk. It is located underneath the dashboard, next to the brake pedal.
Yes! The three blinks indicate the system is armed and all doors are locked. If the lights do not flash, then a door is open. The single light flash upon unlocking tells you the system is disarmed.
On the 1979 B200 Sportsman V8 if the brake pedal makes all signal lights come on and hazards and flashers do not work on their own, it could be the flasher, but the culprit could also be a burned out bulb or a short in the wiring.
Count the flashing - they are diagnostic codes - blink blink blink - pause - blink blink is a 32, usually repeated over and over or in the least three times in a row on several makes / models
Opening and closing the left hand makes hime blink and opening and closing the right hand makes his mouth move.
