Fuel pump pressure depends on which fuel system the car has.
If your car has a carburetor then the fuel pressure should be 9 - 13 psi.
If your car is fuel injected then the fuel pressure should be about 45 psi.
The fuel pump is in the fuel tank Turn key on-Should have a fuel pressure of 64-85 psi

Have a fuel pump pressure test done. A 2.2L should have between 41 and 47 psi. A 4.3 should have between 60 and 66 psi.

The fuel pressure is WAAAY too high 35 psi is about what it should be at. New fuel pump is needed. That should be your solution.

Have a fuel pressure test done. A 4.3L should have 60 to 66 psi, a 2.2L should have 41 to 47 psi.
