(ON 1999-2003 model years) If it's behind and a little left (if looking at the alt straight on) then that's your ICP sensor. It monitors oil pressure to the head for the fuel injectors. Yes they are driven off of High pressure oil and this sensor makes sure its where it needs to be at any given point i.e throttle position, load, speed, etc. If out of range can and will set an engine light and or create hard or no start concerns, or drive-ability issues. Good luck hope
Sorry on a 1995 the alt's on the other side.... OK then you are looking at an additional ECT sensor of engine coolant sensor. One screws into the water pump and controls the gauge in the instrument cluster and this one is for the pcm to monitor and shut down or limit engine output if overheating. It screws into the block right below the alt and its kinda hard to see. One wire then yep that's and additional ect sensor they did away with in 1999 model. Hope this helps
The alternator is located behind the engine and almost directly below the intake manifold.
on my 1995 4.0 L OHV it is located below the alternator
right below ur timing belt
I believe the wiring comes from the alternator on the early mk3 golfs
Above the air conditioning compressor on the passenger side of engine and below the alternator.
below the raditor hose that's connected to the thermostat.
The 1995 Nissan: temperature sensor is located on the front of the engine. The coolant temperature sensor will be near the thermostat housing.
its located on the passenger side by the firewall
The alternator is mounted down low on the back side of the engine.
In the alternator Needs new Alternator if it's bad
the senor is located below the brakes master cylinder on the front fender panel.
