The car is a 73 charger. I replaced the 318 with a 360. The cam is a competition cam, little mild, 270 duration and .455 inch lift. Heads milled as much as possible so i can still run pump gas and factory head gaskets, around 9:1. I took off the edelbrock air gap intake, and replaced it with an edelbrock performer series for the 318/360 (had a problem from a stop being a bit sluggish and stalling (since the air gap was between 1500 and 6500 rpm i changed it cause i run it stop light to stop light and the air gap isn't what i really needed)).
Right now it has a carter aluminum four barrel carb with 625 cfm. I also have an edelbrock carb which is a 4 barrel and 550 cfm. I just bought a kit with an array of metering rods and jets, and to skip some of the headache, im wondering exactly how much more gas i would even want to dump in it. Any suggestions or hints? i figured i would have to crack the top of the carb a couple times before i get it right, but i figured i might as well try and find somebody who has been there and done that. Thanks for any help in advance.
