Technically 5.3 Liters is 323.425844 cubic inches. But these figures that the manufactures release are never that technically accurate. They always round the figure off for simplicity or to avoid confusion. A 5.3 liter GM engine is actually 5328 cc which is 325.1 cubic inches. The 5.7 Liter GM is actually 5,733 cc which translates to 349.8 cubic inches which we all know as the 350. Another comparison is the 5.0 Liter Ford V8 which is actually 4942cc which translates to 4.94200 Liters. Ford called it a 5.0 to avoid confusion because they already had a 4.9 liter inline 6 cylinder which was 300 cubic inches.
