The rear end gear ratio was 3.55:1. Optional was 4.10:1. You can tell what rear end you have by looking at the label located in the glovebox or on the underside of the hood at the front in the center. There should also be a label on the center differential as well.
The only engine used in a Dodge vehicle that does not have a timing chain or belt would be the Cummins diesel. The Cummins diesel uses timing gears.
no, the 5.9l and the 6.7l cummins turbo diesel engines uses a series of timing gears not a chain or belt. reasoning for this is the power impulse and torque created would stretch the chains or belts over time. The gears last much longer. All truck hd truck engines use timing gears.
four
I had a 02 Dodge 3500 with the Cummins, a 6 speed stick, and 410 gears in the rear, and I was getting around 21 MPG on the highway.
Have the Cummins computer checked for trouble codes.
Four forward, one reverse.
A 2010 Ram with a gas engine has a timing chain. The Cummins diesel uses timing gears.
Depends on what gears are in the Truck. The 4:10 gears put the capacity at 18000 lbs and the 3:54 gears take it down to 16000 lbs
Driving styles are different for everyone. Keep it under 1700 rpm to get the best.
All 2003 Ram gasoline engines have timing chains. The diesel has timing gears.
There are 3 foreward gears and 1 reverse gear.
That would be the power curve accompanied by turbo lag and tall gears, once your truck downshifts the RPMS are higher, and more favorably situated in the power band, and this rush of exhaust gases quickly spools the turbo up creating more boost and a denser charge coming into the combustion chamber equaling more power and "pick up"
