It is a special oil pressure sender socket. It is very similar to a 1 1/16 deep well
It is just to the passenger side of the distributor.

It is called an oxygen sensor socket.
I would first inspect and clean the connection at the sender. If that did not improve the problem, I would replace the sender. I suspect it is a sender problem.

On the 3.3L and 3.8L the sender is screwed into the oil filter adapter. Which is on the front of the block. On the 2.4L it is about halfway up the back of the block next to the transmission bellhousing.

Its under the hood you need a 24 mm socket
3/4 inch or 19mm socket.
