Hi there,
I have a 1992 Eagle Summit ES hatchback. I bought the car with the original manual book. The recommended trans fluid (automatic trans) is ATF type "F", this is because the A/T does not use "friction modifiers" that are in the common "dexron" Auto trans fluid used in most cars (Ford, chev, etc).
Use type "F" to keep your A/T shifting hard and gripping!
where do you plug in a diagnostic machine on a 1992 eagle summit?
To remove the drive axle from a 1992 Eagle Summit, first, safely lift and secure the vehicle on jack stands. Remove the wheel and brake assembly to access the axle nut, then loosen and remove the axle nut using a socket and breaker bar. Disconnect the lower control arm and any other components obstructing the axle, and gently pull the axle out of the transmission and hub. Be careful to support the transmission to avoid fluid leaks during this process.
It is in the fuel tank.
yes the transmission will still operate correctly
All the way down on the trans case you should see a small white ball. That is the handle for the dipstick.
Inside the distributor cap
The Neutral Safety Switch on a 1992 Eagle Summit is typically located on the transmission itself, near the gear selector linkage. It is usually mounted on the side of the transmission and may be accessible from underneath the vehicle. To find it, you may need to consult the vehicle's service manual for specific details related to your model.
Your 1992 Toyota transmission will hold 12 quarts of transmission fluid, when it is empty. You can check the transmission fluid level with the dipstick.
You can use any SAE certified automatic transmission fluid in your 1992 Mitsubishi. You should never overfill your automatic transmission fluid.
Synchromesh Manual Transmission Fluid
You add transmission fluid down the transmission dipstick hole.
