All car manufactured in the late 90's and after used DEX/COOL. It has light red or orange color. Do not put the old green type coolant in your 2006 malibu. You can buy pre-mixed or the one you can mix w/ water yourself. I personally do my own mixing of 70% dex/cool and 30 distilled water. It gives the car higher boiling/freezing point than the 50/50 pre-mixed.
