According to the 2008 Ford F-150 Owner Guide ( 5W-20 )

With engine oil filter change :

The 4.2 litre V6 and the 4.6 litre V8 engines take ( 6.0 U.S. quarts )

The 5.4 litre V8 engine takes ( 7.0 quarts )

* of 5W-20 *
