I'm not a mechanic / technician but ( yes ) it could run hot if there were problems with the water pump not circulating the coolant , or a problem with the flow through the radiator , or a problem with the engine cooling fan clutch so no air is being drawn through the radiator . ( anybody else have any ideas ) Helpfull
check fuel pump relay , pump itself may be gone after 100K miles
No it can not. If the belt is missing that could cause it to run hot.
A cracked engine block
Yes, a catalytic converter can make it run hot if it is plugged.
Check the coolant level. Check the thermostat, the rad. the fans, water pump. Many reasons.
why is buick lasebre running hot
The Crown Vic was set up factory to run on a certain sized wheel, depending on the model and the GVW rating stated on the tag inside the door. Most Crown Vics run on 15" wheels with a 205 or 215 profile. You theoretically could run 14s on it, but the size indifference should be made up in the tire, otherwise speedo recaliberation would have to be done.
