The bore diameter would be 4.195 and the stroke is 4.218.
using the formula pi times the radius squared:
4.195/2=2.0975*2.0975=4.3995*3.14159*8*4.218=466.4
So, a 455 bored 40 over would be a 467
A Chevy 305 engine bored .040 over would typically be referred to as having a +.040 bore, indicating the increase in bore diameter from the standard size. This modification can increase the engine's displacement and potentially enhance its performance.
Yes. That would be a 350 bored .030" oversize.
Yes It would if its 2.3L engine size. Also, fits Oldsmobile Achieva of same year. Thanks
355 is a non stroked just bored 4.030 over 383 on the other hand put a 3.75 stroker crank and bored honed so i would pick 383 . 355 is bored not stroked clearence for stroker crankbest engine would say is 383
The Pontiac LeMans would be my choice. It is slightly larger and more luxurious. The Pontiac engine was also a better engine than the Chevy.
because of transmission failure
That depends on the year, engine size...
does my 1996 pontiac ga stall out in park
I would bet no, it did not. The 1973 Oldsmobile engine was painted gold and the Pontiac engine was not.
The cylinders would need to be bored to 4", which would probably make the walls too thin.
if the vin codes match then they should but i'd look at the wiring diagrams to be sure...
That would be an engine whose cylinders have been bored .030" oversize and fitted with new oversize pistons. New displacement would be 355 ci.
