HI, Have you looked at your EGR valve? our air cleaner could be real dirty, the mass airflow sensor could be bad, Ther's any number of things that could be bad or wrong. Have you had your codes read? The reasdout from the OBD can lead you in the right direction. The problem I found is that it raeds from the last component failure or problem and it stores fropm the most significat problem first so you get one thing done then you go to the net. I have a '97 2dr auto 4wd abd I've gone through many things and I'm still not done. I'm glad we're all here to help each other. Good luck and keep asking if thyou find out. Steve H.

Can a faulty MAP sensor cause stalling?

The MAP sensor - another frequent cause of stalling or non-starting. This measures the air pressure in the manifold. You can test it - if your car won't start, just unplug the electrical connection from the MAP sensor. If it starts, replace the sensor. MAP sensor details. (It may act as though the fuel pump is not working properly - starting, then quickly dying).

Would a bad speed sensor cause a no start and stalling?

Yes, a bad speed sensor can cause a no-start condition and stalling, particularly if the vehicle relies on the sensor for critical engine management functions. The speed sensor provides information about the vehicle's speed to the engine control unit (ECU), which may affect fuel delivery and ignition timing. If the sensor fails, the ECU may not receive the necessary data to operate the engine properly, leading to stalling or preventing the engine from starting altogether.

What would cause a car to jerk during acceleration and stall out after you've replaced the muffler temperature coolant sensor and fuel filter?

check plugs and wires, and the fuel filter for proper installation. Fuel filters have a directional arrow on them, to indicate which way to install them. If it is in backwards, that can cause fuel starvation and stalling under load, such as when you are accelerating.
