Some cartrides are hot/cold specific. The hole that allows the water to pass thru the cartridge will not close because you can't turn it far enough. Some cartrides are hot/cold specific. The hole that allows the water to pass thru the cartridge will not close because you can't turn it far enough.

Why does the moen kitchen faucet still leak after replacing the cartridge?

If your Moen kitchen faucet continues to leak after replacing the cartridge, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure the new cartridge was installed correctly and seated properly. Additionally, check for worn-out O-rings or seals that may also need replacement. Finally, inspect the faucet body for cracks or damage that could cause leaks.

What would cause an extremely loud vibration in your house when running hot water in a sink if you just replaced the old worn-out seals with new ones you had to make yourself?

If water gets under a faucet washer it can cause a loud vibration when the water is turned on. You either need to find a proper replacment or get a new faucet.

What would cause cold water to pass through the hot water supply line behind a single handle moen bath and tub faucet affecting the water temperature?

This is a question that will drive the average DIY person crazy, but when you hear the answer it makes sense.... The single handle style Moens are great faucets, and I use and like them. If your builder used them throughout your home then this is what you do.... find your water heater and visualize the furthest away faucet (include all your sinks that have Moen faucets - utility/slop sinks, as well) start with the furthest sink and work your way back to the source, testing each faucet to see if it has the same problem. The ones that do will be the sink you work on first, the cartridge must be replaced on each, and here is why. The construction of the cartridges can partially fail allowing hot water to leak into the cold water lines and visa versa the problem is that since your house was built with all Moen faucets that if you only replace one cartridge you will "chase your tail" trying to fix the problem and they are all going to fail eventually. So consider replacing them all at the same time (I did! and Yes it does cost a lot) and the problem will go away. Sorry, but Good Luck! Douglas

Why is my shower dripping when turned off?

Your shower may be dripping when turned off due to a worn-out or faulty shower valve or faucet. This can cause water to continue leaking even when the handle is in the off position. It is important to have the valve or faucet repaired or replaced to prevent water waste and potential damage.

What would cause water pressure to drop at only 1 sink?

A clogged aerator on the end of the faucet would cause the water flow to decrease in that faucet.

Hot water faucet leak?

It sounds as if you have a leak in the 'stem seal' in the faucet. This often a rubber 'o' ring around the actual shaft holding the main seal. You must switch off somewhere before this ( possibly under counter) then take apart the faucet and replace both seals.
