The brakes on the Villager are as straight forward as the brakes on a 1965 Mercury. Only normal brake tools are required.
Conventional drum brakes.

It is probabley your rotors, take it up to your local shop and have them look at it.
You need to buy an adapter harness. Do not cut into your wiring harness.
If you turn on the key and there is a light that says ABS, then it does. ABS was an option that year.b
This is as complex procedure. I suggest you buy a repair manual if it is not obvious to you, and you don't have experience.

The rear brakes are a conventional drum system. If you don't have experience working one them I suggest buying a repair manual or taking it to a shop.
It would be to your advantage to take your car to a Brake Repair Shop if you have to ask that question brakes are not something you should do if you do not have the skill, WBMS
ABS was an option on Villagers. If you have an ABS light that lights up when you turn the key on the dash, you have it. If not, you don't.
