Here are a couple of things to try: Maybe the latch is not ajusted properly to fully grasp the lid catch or the switch is feeding current to the latch which would require replacement of the switch.
One reason a 1998 Cadillac Deville would cut off while driving could be the fuel pump or the car is out of fuel. Another reason could be the spark plugs.
I suspect you mean the neutral/safety switch. It is at the end of the shift cable, on top of the transmission, just below the brake booster. It is the main reason for not starting, not the starters! Wally of Hagerstown, MD
With so much electronics, it is extremely hard to find any problem that happens just so often. If it wouyld die and not start, it would be easier to find but if it is running good when the dealer has it it is hard to find. Have patience. hey this might help ive had that problem and i just tried it out today.your car must relearn what your idle speed should be.i found that answer right on this website.rephrase your question to why is my Cadillac Seville stalling.Hope that helps its a very easy procedure!!
Probably in need of a tune up.
what i am assuming is being talked about is that when you go to turn on the heat in a Seville, heat will only be produced out of one side of vents. there are a number of valves in a Seville which control wether the air that is coming out of the vents in hot or cold. in a Seville there are a pair of these valves one for the passenger side air, and one for the driver side air. the reason why only one side of the car is blowing hot air is because one of these valves has gotten stuck in the "cold air" position and needs to be replaced. the same thing happened on my car but the drivers side was the one not blowing heat.
To be nice!!
The insurance company has no reason to raise your premium, the situation was completely out of your hands.
body control module is bad
When a car is parked, the parking brake is engaged, preventing the wheels from moving. In addition, the transmission is usually in "Park" mode, which locks the transmission, further preventing movement. These mechanisms work together to keep the car stationary when parked.
