But if it has a lot of miles on it, and still runs good. Then set the timing about 4-6 degrees. BTDC ( Before top dead center ) and see how it runs. If it starts hard,Then
slow the timing up a little till you get it just right. It will start good,run good, and not ping. When you get it right.
