You need to replace the gauge cluster... I hate to say that, but that is the only fix. It is common on the silverado series trucks as well. This was verified by 2 mechanics and the Chevy dealer.

94 did come with it. LT1 started in the 93 Z28's it has a strong motor i have a 94 z28 and iv done replaced 3 transmissions
no these are not compatible, the problems start with the computer, these 2 trucks have different computers and will not let the truck shift properly, now an older transmission might do the trick
