It sparks for one of two reasons. 1) it's just sparking because

when you touch the wire to the battery terminal, you aren't getting a

real tight connection. This isn't serious. Or 2) because you are touching

the wire to the wrong battery terminal and producing a short to the chassis

ground. This is a bad thing!
