Push down on each corner of the car forcefully with your hands. The corners should go down and come back up without excessive bouncing at the top of travel. You should also hear no bumping noises that would indicat the broken strut mounts.
need to know how to replace rear struts on 2004 kia optma
If its a 2003 focus then I know they had a recall on them or something. Mine were free. But I do think I remember I think it had to be below 100k miles. Mine broke and luckly I went to the dealer and the told me about how they were free. If I would have went anywhere else they would have been about 120 something a piece. So I would call your local dealer and ask them!! Wouldnt hurt
It is important to know the general cost to have a shop repair a car. The general cost to repair a rear bumper on a 2007 Ford Focus is between $200 and $400.

It isn't hard at all aslong as you have patience and alittle know how. Be warned I highly suggest you take the struts once removed from the car to a service center to have them remove the strut from the springs!
It depends on the year of the the Focus. I know for a fact, since I own one that all Ford Focus's in the year of 2005 and above have air conditiong.
I don't know where the thermostat is physically located on a Focus specifically, but if it is underneath the water neck on top of the intake manifold it may be a poor sealant & gasket used when the water neck was mounted/installed. Perhaps you may want to refer to a Chilton's guide for the Ford Focus to replace the thermostat gasket and sealant?
It has Struts and not shocks. If the car is bouncing or floating whenever you hit a dip in the road, or seems to handle poorly, these are signs of worn struts. A leak in one of the struts is also a sign of a bad strut. Mileage is another factor. Struts today will last a long time, but if the car has over 100,000 miles, then more than likely the struts need replacing. As to replacing them, unless you have the proper tools and knowledge, take it to a pro. Serious injury can occur when replacing struts, if you don't know what you are doing.
i don't know about the Taurus but a thunderbird suspension will match up
It is important to know how much fuel a car will hold. For a Ford Focus, the gas tank holds about 12. 4 gallons of fuel.
It is important to know the cost of replacing parts on a car. For a 2002 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 it will cost between $200-$400 to replace the struts, is a person is doing it themselves.
