ok i have an 05 super duty ---same issue occured, checked under the air intake , removed it ,and found that the "lead like"composite that was bolted to the main 1`2volt wire goingto the alternator was completely burned up , this is merely a safety percaution and can be bolted right up to the alternator for the time being, the only other thing i can think of is your light switch it self --a bad ground can lead to the burn out of someserious fuses --which will then send a code to your truck's pcm to perform a safety shut down ---go from the first step i mentioned and if thats not it --go with this ---good luck
yes
