The issue with your 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue's wipers stopping in the wrong position is likely due to a faulty wiper motor or a misaligned wiper transmission. The park position is determined by the motor's internal circuitry, which may be malfunctioning. To fix this, you can either replace the wiper motor or check the linkage for proper alignment and operation. Additionally, checking the wiper control switch may help identify any electrical issues affecting the wiper's movement.
i have a problem with the washer pump when i put a voltage tester on the connection it jumps all around from 5 volts to 10
Probably the ignition key switch...I have the same problem
Check ignition switch, common problem.
check to see if your security light is on...could be passlock
not sure what causes it, but sometimes my signals will just not work. with lever still in position to activate signal, push button for hazards. then put signal lever in "off" position. turn off hazards. signals should work. temporarily anyway.
Neutral safety switch going bad? Starter solenoid going bad?
Have vehicle scanned to see if any codes are stored to determine the problem
I am having the same problem with my intrigue, it might be 2 things: the crank sensor is bad and needs changing, or the ignition module needs changing. im not %100 that this is the problem but I am currently trying to get mine fixed and that's what I have been told it might be.
Any problem with the car that affects its emissions will cause the light to come on and stay on until the problem has been fixed. (There are literally dozens of possible causes.)
Same thing happened to me on 1998 intrigue. Also in snowy and freezing conditions. The link here attributed the problem to water freezing in the Wiper moter assembly Maybe it will start working when it thaws out? [hr] Wrong. Your windshield wiper motor is mounted to a bracket that has a little metal tab on it that the crank arm assembly has to hit in order to park the wipers, in a lot of cases this park tab in either bent or broken, and if bent can be adjusted. This happens if the wipers encounter too much stress, such as trying to wipe when they are frozen in ice. The tab can be easily bent back, if you can get to the wiper motor.
sounds to me like your rear window is leaking.i had the same problem and that's what it was
ughh i have the same problem. you need to fix the windshield wiper motor
