There are 2 different oxygen sensors for this car. I just replaced the back one which is in the exhaust system. If you go underneath the car and look near the catalytic converter. You should see the sensor threaded into the exhaust system. It will have a chord coming from it and heading to the engine. It will be plugged in at the rear of the engine. This is the more expensive O2 sensor. Just make sure not to cross thread the new O2 sensor as it will not get the correct reading. There are 2 different oxygen sensors for this car. I have a 2000 olds alero 4 clylinder and yes it has two oxygen sensors!! I have a 2000 olds alero 4 clylinder and yes it has two oxygen sensors!!
A 2002 Oldsmobile Alero typically has two O2 sensors: one located before the catalytic converter (upstream) and another located after it (downstream). These sensors monitor the oxygen levels in the exhaust gases to help optimize fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. However, configurations can vary depending on the specific engine type and emissions system, so it's always good to check the vehicle's specifications for accuracy.
Where is the radiator cap located on a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero?
On a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero, the most commonly referenced sensor is the oxygen sensor, which is typically located in the exhaust system. There are usually two oxygen sensors: one before the catalytic converter (upstream) and one after it (downstream). Additionally, other sensors, such as the mass airflow sensor, are located in the intake system, while the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors are found near the engine block. For specific sensor locations, consulting the vehicle's service manual is recommended.
All O2 sensors all threaded into the exhaust system at various points.
The thermostat is located on a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero in the thermostat housing. The thermostat housing is located on the rear side of the engine block.
where is the fourway flasher located ib a 2001 oldsmobile alero
There are two o2 sensors on this car.
In the fuel tank.
beside thermostat
By the battery.
a bad sensor. the alero is notorius for many bad sensors. not an expensive replacement though
