There are 2 different oxygen sensors for this car. I just replaced the back one which is in the exhaust system. If you go underneath the car and look near the catalytic converter. You should see the sensor threaded into the exhaust system. It will have a chord coming from it and heading to the engine. It will be plugged in at the rear of the engine. This is the more expensive O2 sensor. Just make sure not to cross thread the new O2 sensor as it will not get the correct reading. There are 2 different oxygen sensors for this car. How many 02 sensors does a 02 oldsmobile alero have?

A 2002 Oldsmobile Alero typically has two O2 sensors: one located before the catalytic converter (upstream) and another located after it (downstream). These sensors monitor the oxygen levels in the exhaust gases to help optimize fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. However, configurations can vary depending on the specific engine type and emissions system, so it's always good to check the vehicle's specifications for accuracy.

Additionally, other sensors, such as the mass airflow sensor, are located in the intake system, while the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors are found near the engine block. For specific sensor locations, consulting the vehicle's service manual is recommended.
