The glow plugs on these 7.3s are under the valve covers it is a weird place but works
EDIT, No they are not. "These 7.3's" referring to what year? The 1993 Glow plugs are located inboard of the injectors and not under the rocker covers. They can be removed with a deep socket 3/8" thin wall.
