They are not hidden. they are on the firewall to the right of the master cylinder on a 2 1/2 by 5 inch plate.

there are no hidden VIN numbers. They are on a tag about 31/2 inches long by 21/2 inches in height. They are located on the driver's side firewall and to the right of the master cyclinder.WRONG!!!!The number are stamped on the frame drivers side on top of the frame.. you'll need a mirror and light and a wire brush to get them.. and some time you'll need to undo a few bolts from the frame and body. On an impala they are located on the top of the frame between the rear tire and bumper(rear) Divers side. Front one is located near the trans cross member on top of the frame.. this one is really hard to read and get to. Best start off with the rear.
