Alternating Current as opposed to DC Direct Current
The amount of Freon that goes into a 1995 Chevy Suburban depends on whether or not their is just front AC or front and rear AC. If the Chevy Suburban on front AC only it takes 3.0 pounds of r134a Freon. If there is front and rear AC then it takes4.25 pounds of r134a Freon.
There are no fuses on the firewall to my knowledge but there is at least two relays, one is the AC compressor clutch relay and the other is the starter relay.
ac relay is on the left side where all the fuses are located,you will ned to take the whole black plastic cover off and there will be a smaller cover that need to be removed and all the relays are under. diagram of relays are on the inside of first plastic cover
You mentioned relays and wires, but did you check fuses? Fuses or grounds or the wires could still be bad. You have to measure the voltages dropped across them. Good luck.
Fuses and relays are under the dash.. there's a panel you remove on the passenger side (where a glove compartment would typically be on a truck which had one), and the panel is right there.. there'll be a plastic sheet which you remove to expose the fuses and relays, and that has a diagram on it.

Get a test light and find where you are loosing voltage.
Ac relay is a relay which respond to ac signal only.when there is no supply given to this relays coil,it wont function.it will change its n/o contact to n/c contact if there is a supply given to its coil.this is the simple exlanation for ac relays.
Not wanting to allow the freon to escape into the atmosphere, you would need a garage equipped with an AC recovery system to recover the freon for you.
the light on the AC button in my acura integra has gone out as well, but the AC still works like a charm. Did you check ur relays? Chech out a Chilton book for more info
Most likely the rear expansion tube or valve is defective.
