On a 1997 Chevy Cavalier, the crankshaft position sensor is typically located on the engine block, near the bottom, close to the crankshaft. You can find it on the driver's side, just above the oil pan. It may be necessary to remove some components for better access, so refer to a repair manual for specific instructions if needed.
on a 93 Chevy cavalier ls how to get the crankshaft sensor out of the block also can I remove the oil pan to get to the crankshaft sensor
Do you have a picture of location of crankshaft position sensor for 1992 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L ohv engine?
if you cant figure it out you shouldn't be trying to replace it
You will find the crankshaft position sensor on the passengers side of the engine block, close to the starter.
The crankshaft sensor is located on the side of the motor towards the firewall. It is located more towards the oil filter,
Next to the oil filter, bolted to the block.
Same as the Tahoe behind the starter
Back side of the engine near where the transmission mounts to the engine. You have to jack up the car and crawl under it to see it. There are two sensors there.....the crankshaft sensor and the knock sensor.
It is found beneath the intake manifold directly under the coil packs.
The crank shaft positioning sensor should be located at the front of the engine just below and to the left of the harmonic balancer. On the timing cover.
The crankshaft position sensor is located behind the starter on the front of the engine. Hope this helps! Mitch art_y2k1@yahoo.com
EGR valve, Fuel filter, Crankshaft positioning sensor. One of those, perhaps?
