Older Cherokees have a pressurized overflow tank on the left side of the engine (facing the engine) near the firewall. There was a retrofit of a lower pressure relief cap for the overflow tank BUT the thermostat must also be replaced with a lower temperature setting.
You add the fluid down the dipstick tube.
When you add engine coolant to a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee because the low coolant indicator has come on, you should add to the reserve tank and the radiator if they are low. Sometimes, just the reserve tank needs filled.
On my 1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo it is on the front right of the engine. There should be a picture of an oil can on the cap with the words fill oil here or something along that line on it.
The cost to replace the water pump in a 1988 Jeep Cherokee Laredo typically ranges from $300 to $700, depending on labor costs and whether you choose to use OEM or aftermarket parts. Labor charges can vary by location and shop, usually accounting for $100 to $300 of the total. Additionally, it's advisable to factor in the cost of coolant and any other necessary gaskets or seals, which may add to the overall expense.
You can add ground effects or new and larger tires to soup up your 1995 Grand Cherokee Laredo. You can also add grill or headlight covers, a chip to give your engine more horsepower, or even a lift kit to this vehicle.
Drain and flush the system. Pour in one gallon of pure antifreeze, and then top it off with distilled water. This will provide protection to around -25 Degrees F. If adding fluid to an engine with low coolant, look for the stem sticking up in the inside of the coolant overflow reservoir and add enough 50/50 mix to reach the top of the stem.
Disconnect a hose and fill it through the hose. Possibly the one to the water pump; that should be pretty accessible.
Yes, you can remote start any car.
There's a plastic overflow tank in the engine compartment that you use to check the coolant level (add and full marks on the tank), and to add additional antifreeze if its low. It typically has a big black lid on the top and is marked showing that its coolant. You can open this with the engine hot to add coolant....do not remove the radiator cap while the engine is hot. Do not mistake the coolant tank with the windshield washer fluid tank. Both are clearly marked.
around 3669 lb, add more with 4x4
Jeep Grand Cherokee cooling system through the low port on the air conditioning compressor. Connect your Freon bottle to the port and discharge.
I believe the 1990 year still had the sealed system. So there is no rad cap. You can add fluid by pourig it into the overflow bottle with the vehicle running the coolant will be sucked into the system. No radiator cap exist in the 90, 91 model. You add the coolant to the coolant container (The coolant container cap is the equivalent of the radiator cap, (pressure device))and the palstic container is under pressure all the time. Be carefull when you want to open it after the car has been running. After those year models, Jeep discontinued the use of the pressure container and went back to tha radiator cap and remove the pressure coolant container.
