The tube where the dipstick for the transmission goes is where you add the tranny fluid. You will probably need one of those funnels with the really long neck, so that you can get the fluid into the tube without pouring it all over the place. Be careful that you don't overfill the transmission! they didnt say it was automatic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To change the transmission fluid on a 2004 Kia Rio, first ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and securely lifted. Remove the transmission pan bolts and drain the old fluid into a container. Clean the pan and replace the filter if applicable, then reattach the pan with a new gasket. Finally, refill the transmission with new fluid through the dipstick tube, checking the level as you go.

The 2003 Kia Rio is equipped with the 4-speed F4EL automatic transmission in both engine options. The 2003 Rio can be used with SPIV and downwards specified automatic transmission fluid. The factory Kia fluid for this application is part# UM090-CH042 Type 4 SPIV which are 1-quart bottles.
For a 2006 Kia Rio with an automatic transmission, it's recommended to use Kia's SP-IV ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) or an equivalent fluid that meets the specifications.
