If no cap on tank must use reservoir.
Where is the drain for the coolant on the radiator of a 2002 Ford Explorer sport (v6). Thanks.
According to the 2000 Ford Explorer Owner Guide : The engine coolant capacity is 14.9 liters ( 15.7 quarts )
Coolant recovery tank
Yes.
I believe that the coolant system capacity is 8.6 quarts ( 8.1 liters ) for your Explorer ( if it has air conditioning )
On a 2002 Ford Explorer : The thread on cap on your engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap
On a 2004 Ford Explorer : The thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap
On a 2002 Ford Explorer the thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap
there is none. look for the coolant expansion tank there is where you add coolant to the system.
The engine coolant capacity with A/C is ( 8.6 quarts / 8.1 liters ) without A/C ( 7.8 quarts / 7.4 liters ) according to my 1995 Ford Explorer owners manual
On a 2002 Ford Explorer : The thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap
On a 2003 Ford Explorer : The thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap
