In a Ford F-350, the outside temperature is typically displayed on the vehicle's dashboard, often on the information display or the instrument cluster. It may also appear on the vehicle's infotainment screen if equipped. Look for a symbol that resembles a thermometer or a digital readout indicating the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius. If the vehicle has an ambient temperature sensor, it should provide accurate readings as you drive.
where is the outside temp sensor located on a 2005 ford freestyle
my outside temp diplay is inop
Yes, the temperature is being picked up by a sensor up in front of the radiator. See "Related Questions" below for more
I'm a mechanic at a Ford dealership and there is a service message from Ford advising that 2008 and Job #1 2009 Focus do not have the outside temp function. I have checked on my Job #1 2009 Focus and the wiring harness is different, there is no wiring for an outside sensor, later build 2009 do have the wiring and sensor.
Open Circuit. Replace the sensor unit.

If you are asking about engine temp sensors, you will have more than one. It depends on what problem you are having as to which one will could be bad.
i have a 2000 f350 with a edge programmer. im not sure how accurate it is but It is showing around 175 light truck. I recently got it up to 270 which is way TOO HOT. i discovered that the "Transmission cooler bypass valve" was faulty and needed to be replaced. everything i have read says it should be 60-90 over ambient temp.
