It's located right by the passengers side valve cover under the engines dust shield. It will have to be removed to gain access. It looks like a basic starter relay (that's basically what it is) and has a 6-8 gauge black with orange trace wire attached. The other end of that wire is attached to..... yep the starter relay mounted on the passenger side fender by the hood hinge. Happy hunting can"t miss. Good luck.

It may not have one on a '73. If it does it would be under the dash.
