If it is an automatic, the dipstick would most likely be to the right of the transmission toward the firewall, most manual transmissions don't have dipsticks, just empty and fill plugs.
If it is a manual transmission it has no dip stick just a fluid level plug
The manual transmission don't have a dip stick. It has a plug in the side of it that you remove and check the fluid level.
You remove the transmission dip stick. You will need a small funnel that will fit in the tube where the stick goes in at to check fluid level in transmission. Put fluid in there.

it is the yellow stick coming out of the transmission make sure the motor is hot b4 you check it and on level ground and running not like oil you get no reading from it if it is not running

Check the transmission dipstick, it is written on the stick what fluid to use.
Let the car get to runnin temp pull the transmission dip stick out and check level car must be on level ground
It is a dipstick with a yellow end directly behind the oil dipstick. Pull it out, wipe it off stick it back in and check the level, be sure the engine/transmission is warm. The engine should be running to check the fluid level.
There should be a dip stick labeled on the passenger side of the car just pull it out and make sure you fluid level is where it should be
You will have to take it to a dealer or transmission shop that has the special tool to check the fluid.
