If you do not see a drain plug, then the pan must be removed.
You drain 3.5 qts with the plug, 4.1 dropping the pan.
It requires gear oil and its a combination trans and diff. Usually 75 80 or 80 90 gear oil is used. bottom of trans there are two plugs, one for fill and the other for drain.
There is none!!
The drain fill on a 1997 Dodge Avenger manual transmission is on the bottom of the transmission. It is located up from the drain plug.

The 1997 Toyota Corolla fuel tank can be drained by removing the fuel tank fuel line. Most of the fuel will drain out. To completely drain the fuel tank you will need to remove the fuel tank.

Finally, run the engine for a few minutes, shift through the gears, and recheck the fluid level, adding more if necessary.
24mm or use a 15/16 for a little tighter fit if its dorked up
