There are 2 of them on that engine and both of them are UNDERNEITH the intake manifold. You can't see them are service them until you remove the intake manifold.
Need to know the engine size. YOU will need to ASK your question again. THANK YOU.
on a 99 model there are two of them and its located under the intake. quite a bit of work but not bad.
Knock Knock - album - was created on 1999-01-12.
To replace the knock sensor on a 2001 Lexus LS 430, first disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Then, remove the intake manifold to access the knock sensor, which is located on the engine block. Disconnect the wiring harness from the old sensor, unbolt it, and install the new sensor, ensuring it's properly torqued. Finally, reassemble the intake manifold, reconnect the battery, and start the engine to check for any error codes.
Knock First ended on 2004-10-01.
Yes
coolant temp. sensor- front of motor on intake manifold intake air temp. sensor- right side of throttle body, on valve cover i believe
In a very difficult location since there are four. Get the car up on a hoist to do it.
Right above the thermostat housing..
That engine has 2 of them and believe it or NOT. they are UNDERNEATH the intake manifold. You will have to remove the intake to even SEE them are to service them.
In my 01, it's a camshaft sensor under the transfer pump. On some, behind the starter motor in the block. It depends on the year model--get a Haynes manual for your year.
the knock censors are located under the intake. something you need to know when you change the knock censors you need to-take some high temp silicone and build a levee to make the water flow around the censors that is what makes them go bad also check the harness while you have it down
