The 02 sensors are screewed into the exhaust system. Start up by the engine exhaust manifolds and work your way back to the muffler and you will see them. There will not be any after the muffler. That truck should have 4 of them.
unscrew it
were is the fuse located for the O2 sensor
on the exhaust pipe one forward and back.
it's a 5.3 litre v8
You have several on that vehicle and they are all threaded into the exhaust system at various locations.
there should be a couple of them screwed into the exhaust system.
It has 2 in the exhaust pipe/ pipes. They will be up close to the engine.
Bank 1 on a Chevy is the drivers side. Sensor 1 is located in front of the catalytic convertor and sensor 2 is after the converter. Each side has 2 O2 sensors.
The O2 sensors that are the closest to the engine will be the up stream ones. The ones that are further away from the engine are the down stream sensors.
Oxygen O2 sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 1) Should be drivers side closest to engine.
Is there a Code being thrown with this? If it is what I think your talking about it is the Intake Air Temp. Sensor. But it depends on the motor and the code.
For a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado with a 4.8L engine, the O2 sensor wiring typically includes a heater wire, a signal wire, and a ground wire. The upstream O2 sensor generally has a white wire (heater), a black wire (signal), and a gray wire (ground). The downstream sensor will have similar wiring, often identified by different colors. Always refer to a specific service manual or wiring diagram for accurate pin configurations and color codes for your vehicle.
