Pop the hood it's gonna be on either the top left or top right of the radiator. right behind the grill.
Its on the overflow tank.
If your asking this question you shouldn't be working on your truck.
there is none. you need to fill the system via the overflow tank.
YES it does. You need to get the cap for the right year, engine size.
wher is the radiator cap on a 2001 chevy suburban
According to the Haynes repair manual for Chevy/GMC trucks 1988 thru 2000 the cap should be a 15 psi radiator cap.
fill the radiator full, DO NOT CAP THE RADIATOR ! Start the truck, allow it to warm up, allowing the thermostat to open up. While it is warming up, keep topping off the radiator. Once it is hot, and to running temperature, cap the radiator.
under the hood
Follow the top radiator hose to the front top side of the engine and you will see were it clamps to a housing that is held in place with 2 bolts. it is under that housing.
It may be inside your radiator itself.
No.
The radiator doesn't have a cap. The overflow reservoir tank has a cap instead. (Tan plastic tank on passenger side)
