On the end of a metal lever which is cpnnected to the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank
You have to remove the gas tank, the pump assambly from the tank, and replace the float sensor.
Fuel level sensor circuit high. You have an open circuit in the fuel float or in the wiring to the tank.
To test the fuel float sensor on a 1993 Dodge Dakota, first, remove the fuel tank access panel to reach the fuel pump assembly. Disconnect the wiring harness from the fuel level sensor and use a multimeter to measure the resistance across the sensor terminals while moving the float arm up and down. The resistance should change smoothly between approximately 0 to 90 ohms as the float moves. If the readings are inconsistent or outside this range, the sensor may be faulty and should be replaced.
Fuel level sending unit volts too high. Possible failed tank float sensor, or broken wire.
There is NO Oxygen Sensor in the Gas Tank.....
The gas tank on the 2002 Dodge Durango holds 25 gal..
There is a magnetic float inside the washer fluid tank that causes a magnetic sensor on the outside of the tank to activate when the fluid is low. Either the sensor is bad or the float is stuck.
The gas tank on the 2002 Dodge Grand-Caravan holds 20 gal..
It's likely the float sensor in the gas tank is malfunctioning. It might be part of the fuel pump assembly.
