The ECM is the Engine Control Modual.
1992 sunbird is obd1,1996 firebird is obd2.Will not work.
it does but the ecm controls the amount of voltage.
it most likely has a rev limiter programmed into the ecm.
Not without modification
Pulling a fuse wouldn't do it - you'd have to get the ECM reflashed.
The 1993 Ford F1 50 ECM is located on the back of the transmission. The ECM will be near the bottom of the transmission.
no it will not fit
behind passenger side front kick panel
It won't flash any if there aren't any to flash. It should at least flash code 12 when you use the test terminals. If it doesn't then you probably have a bad ECM. Make sure that you have power going to the ECM first. Most of the GM cars have a power wire running from the battery directly to the ECM. Make sure this is connected and the ECM fuse is good.
I do belive its the same as the 1985.It would be 123456
dont know about the emissions stuff but if your planning to swap engines the ECM will also have to be switched as the 267 ECM will not work on the 305
behind and above the glovebox
