The neutral safety switch on a 2003 Pontiac Vibe is located on the transmission. Specifically, it is mounted on the side of the transmission case, where the shift linkage connects. This switch is responsible for preventing the engine from starting unless the transmission is in either the park or neutral position. If you're having trouble locating it, consulting the vehicle's service manual can provide detailed diagrams and instructions.
