In a Ford Fiesta Mark 4, you can typically open the boot from inside the vehicle by using the boot release lever, which is usually located near the driver's seat or on the driver's side door. If the vehicle is equipped with central locking, unlocking the doors may also allow you to access the boot. However, if the boot is locked or there is a malfunction, you may need to access it from the outside. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific instructions related to your vehicle model.
I've had the same problem, it appears to be a short on the boot release micro switch. I sprayed wd40 around the rubber that covers the boot lid manual release switch. It's been fine ever since.
In my case it was the button, and also the rear wiper not working. This solution worked for me: spray some (or a lot of) WD40 on the boot hinges, to release corrosion and get things working again (there's an electrical groud wire connected there).
i have the same car, do you mean the catch to release the front of the car so you can see the engine? that's a little red paddle under the steering wheel, pull it towards your knees.
Is it the mark 6? If so, there is a big circle button on the right hand side of the dash
In a Ford Fiesta, the drain hole in the boot (trunk) is typically located at the lowest point of the boot floor, often near the rear corners. It is designed to allow any accumulated water to escape and prevent moisture buildup. If you're unable to locate it, consult your owner's manual for specific information related to your model year. Regularly checking and clearing this drain can help avoid water damage.
In the wifes Zetec its in the boot inside the offside panel just to the side of the light cluster access, if you getb were i mean.
