The filter is located under the vent grille, directly in front of the windshield on the passenger side of the vehicle. (1) Turn off the ignition switch while leaving the wipers in the up position. (2) Open the hood and properly secure it in the open position. (3) Gently pull the rubber cowl seal away from the cowl vent screen. Place your hand underneath the right half of the cowl vent screen and lift straight up, thereby releasing the four spring clips and removing the right half of the screen. (4) Remove the water shield. Carefully disengage the two water shield locking tabs and slide the water shield toward the front of the vehicle, lifting the water shield up and away from the vehicle. (5) Remove the Passenger Compartment Air Filter, being careful not to allow debris or loose components to fall into the filter housing. Replace the Passenger Compartment Air Filter with a fresh filter and reverse the above procedures to reassemble the vehicle components.
