do you mean pcv its located in th valve cover
most likely has a closed crank case ventalation ccv
The 4.0 engine has a CCV tube at the back of the valve cover that performs the function of a PCV. There is no actual valve as on other engines. The front hose is the fresh air inlet from the filtered side of the air cleaner.
Contrary to a previous posting - please note that some Jeeps (depending on year/model) don't have a PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation), but DO have a CCV (Closed Crankcase Ventilation) - which ends up being a simple tube (no internal valve or special controls for air transfer). Depending on the year/model of your Wrangler, the CCV is on the rear center of the valve cover (on the very top/center part over the engine), while the Fresh Air Intake (which looks very similar to a PCV or CCV, but is connected to that large air intake hose) is toward the front of the valve cover. I KNOW the 2001 Wrangler has a CCV - I just broke the tubing and valve itself this weekend as I was leaning in to change all six fuel injectors (it was brittle - which is common after a while). Your vehicle should still run (although it will idle high) without it, but definitely replace if you can. Also, you might want to purchase a Haynes manual (or similar) for $20-$30. If you do get the Haynes type manual for 87-08 Wranglers, you'll see that page 6-2 image 2.5b illustrates the location of your CCV in a lovely diagram.
no there is not, this motor uses a closed crankcase ventilation system (ccv tube)x2. one goes from the top of the air-box (fresh air inlet) to the back of your valve cover, this lets fresh air into the crankcase. the second tube goes from the front of the valve cover to the intake manifold. hope this helps.
The 4.0L HO engine does not have a PCV valve. Instead it has a CCV system. The rear top of the engine has the CCV plug & some small plastic tubes off to other parts of the engine. If these get plugged, it then blows oil into the filter box. I clean the port & tubes out regularly. New parts can also be bought at auto parts stores (I think for around $50 or so).
Check engine lit goes on.
It is: 205 = CCV in Roman numerals
ccv means Christs Church of the Valley.
Comcast Corporation (CCV)had its IPO in 2012.
The Roman numeral for 205 is CCV.
on all visa debit card what do ccv means
If you see it when the top of the air box is first opened & it is by the tube that comes from the top of the motor, it is oil blow-by. There is no PCV valve on the 4.0L at least & I think the 2.5L does not have one either. Jeep used what they calla CCV (crank case ventalation) system to move vapors form the valve train area back into the air intake for reburning. What often happens is the small tube gets clogged with oil & gunk and the onl place left for the by-products to go is back into the air filter box. New parts are probably around $50, but I usually take them off & clean them out with a small wire (GENTLY) and some carb/injector spray cleaner. The CCV is at the rear of the engine and there are a cople plastic tubes also associated with it that need to be cleaned. This is just a very common problem with the Wranglers 91-95 (possibly slightly older years for the 2.5L- the 4.0L was first put in 91).
