In my opinion, the cheapest suspension lift kit for a four leaf system is to just re-ark them. The ride does become a little stiffer but I don't think it's much. I just did my 1/2 ton and I think the ride is comparable to a 3/4. The rest of the parts I picked up from my local parts store. If you are looking to buy a kit outright, I would check out 4wheelparts.com. Read the listings carefully, because a lot of the parts you need are usually not in the kits. Some come with shocks, others don't. Some come with brake lines, steering drops, etc. Hope this helps and good luck.
go to performanceaccessories.com they have good lift kits for great prices
Yes it will. I have a 1998 GMC Sierra 4wd with only a 3 inch body lift and are clearing 35 inch nitto tires and it has no suspension lift what so ever I have a 1999 2 door Tahoe with 3 inch body lift and keys cranked up and clearing 35/15.50/r15 tsl sx's with little cutting but rubbs when turning and flexing the front suspension.
yes you can if you go on quadratec.com and look up a 3 inch body lift it tells you that you can do it. From my personal knowledge a body lift is obviously just the body and does not mess with suspension at all.
A body lift can interfere with the shifting of gears.A body lift can interfere with the shifting of gears.
just go to fat bobs garage and they have a 3" lift kit 4 bumpers and 4 procomp shocksfor just $214.
cheapest for looks is a body lift, about $300 for the kit but for ground clearence, you really have no choice but to get a suspension lift, which if you have a 4x4 like i do, it's about $1600 for 3"
yea, even 33s will rub a little, you'll probably need to go with another 3 inch suspension to be able to ride smoothly and without rubbing.
You can run a 35 inch tire but it will rub under suspension load. you will be perfectly safe running a 33 inch tire.
If it's a 4 wheel drive, you will need to crank the torsion bars to get them to fit the front. If it is a 2 wheel drive, you will need a lift kit. A 3" body lift or a 4" suspension lift should do the trick.
35" Tires will require a 6" suspension lift to clear with no rubbing. A cheaper alternative is a 3" body lift, and 33" tires, although not as appealing.
yes you can run 35inch tire as long as you put them on an 8inch rim. i have that size on my 1999 dodge ram 1500 4 door.
depends on the Sway bar? Stock or changing it too? I have a 3 inch suspension lift and have 32X11.5 R15 on it but the tires rub on the Sway bar when making a really tight turn. as I found out do not go with the cheapest lift kit in the catalog and also depends on which driving you are going for 4x4 Baja Off road or Rock crawling as to which lift kit you get. There is a great kit by James Duff I think that's the name try Jamesduff.com I found it and they have a great lift system for that model of truck. and not out priced.
