You can see the end of the Powertrain Control Module in the engine compartment ,
in the firewall towards the passenger side , the rest of the PCM is " hidden " behind
the glove compartment . Look for a wire harness that bolts to the end of the PCM

As far as I know the GEM ( Generic Electronic Module ) controls the 4x4 on the 1995 Ford Explorer and I believe that is in the center stack of the dash behind and to the left of the radio
No it will not

I don't think so , the 1995 Ford Explorer uses an electronically controlled transmission ( 4R55E I believe ) instead of the A4LD transmission that is in the 1994 Ford Explorer

If your talking about the 95 Ford Explorer Limited Edition, there is a lamp module for the headlights (used by the computer to monitor status of the headlights) located in a steel box the size of a pack of cigarretes mounted to the lower inside of the center console directly below the computer display. The headlights are individualy powered by separate fuses which provide power throught the module to the headlights. The module directs fused power through a pair of high current resitors out to the headlights. The solder joints of these two resistors to the circuit board are notorious for cold solder joints. The circuit board is made in Amsterdam, and the module can run from $145-$175.Resoldering the two Resistors remedied the problem for me, with no outlay of money.
You can reset the computer on a 95 Ford Taurus by connecting an OBDII reader to the vehicle. It can then reset all codes within the computer.
