should be behind the engine; towards the top and front of automatic transmission (what would be the bell-housing). Hard to get to, must have u-joint socket. Looks like a little "flashlight" or cylinder 2 inches long 1/2 diameter. It is magnetic.
in a toilet
Usually a crankshaft sensor is located on the bellhousing of the transmission
It is on the top passenger side of the bell housing.
Yes
driver side on the back of the motor where is crak sensor on 94 jeep 4.0 grand Cherokee
its on the bell housing,on the tranny, driver side.towars the top, held in by one bolt.sets inside the bell housing.
Bad crank position sensor
It should fit but, the crank position sensor produces a signal by referring to the flex plate. In 1991 Jeep went to a Chrysler fuel injection system and the windows that the crank sensor reads are different. So in other words it should bolt up but then it will not start.
Check the crank sensor, i had the same problem with my 94 Grand Cherokee
It is on the top passsenger side of the bell housing.
Most 4.0's are located on the left side of the bell housing where it bolts to the engine. If I remember it is mounted with 2 trans mounting bolts. THERE IS ONLY ONE 11mm BOLT HOLDING THE CRANKS SENSOR IN.
On the 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, the spare tire is located underneath the rear of the vehicle. It is secured to the undercarriage and can be accessed by removing a cover and using a crank tool provided in the vehicle. To lower the spare tire, you'll need to use the tool to release it from its mount.
