==Answer 1 == Not having worked on your particular make and model, I can only give a generic answer, which GENERALLY APPLIES to most, if not all, automotive engines, and should help until an expert provides a more definitive answer. To the best of my knowledge, the only place where spinning motion of the crankshaft is observable and accessable is the CRANKSHAFT DAMPENER PULLEY which is mounted on the crankshaft at the "front" of the engine. On a transverse [crosswise] mounted engine, the front is considered the end that has the drive belt(s). Generally, the SENSOR size is usually no more than 1/2 to 3/4 inch in diameter, and 1 to 2 inches in length, and it will have one or two wires attached. The sensor will be mounted on a metal bracket attached to the front of the engine, and very close to the CRANKSHAFT DAMPENER PULLEY. The bracket locates the sensor IN THE "PLANE" of the pulley, in other words, "looking" at the EDGE of the spinning pulley. I hope this helps, until someone else contributes a more specific answer.
were is the crankshaft sensor located on a 1987 Pontiac Grand AM with a 2.5L engine
Cam sensor location 02 pontiac montana 3.4
Oh, dude, the crankshaft position sensor on a Pontiac Montana is typically located near the crankshaft pulley or the flywheel. It's like the detective of the engine, always keeping tabs on the crankshaft's position to make sure everything's running smoothly. So, if your Montana is acting up, maybe give the sensor a little pat on the back... or a diagnostic check, whatever works.
It is located behind the crankshaft pulley and requires the pulley to be removed to change it out.
there isn't a crankshaft position sensor on a 3.8l motor in a 1999 Pontiac grand prix according to the manual
on the back of the motor wright below the crank sensor
That is closer to the time belt u have to remove the belt firts
The sensor is located on the right side of the the crankshaft attached by 2 bolts thru the timing cover it will be hard to see due to the pulley.
You can find the oil pressure sensor for your 1999 Pontiac Montana on the front of the engine. The low pressure oil sensor will be just below the left cylinder head.
The 1995 Pontiac Grand Am 3.1 liter engine crank shaft sensor is located inside of the rear engine cover. You will need to remove the rear engine cover in order to access the crankshaft sensor.
All you need to do is erase the trouble code associated with the crankshaft positioning sensor. You will need a code reader to do this.
The oxygen sensor is located in the exhaust manifold near the firewall. It is easier to get to the sensor from under the vehicle.
