If your looking the the "electronic spark control module"..... it's the device that's behind the coils. It's size is about 4 inches tall, and about 8 inches wide. You'll see 3 different sets of wire connectors that goes to the plug in on either side of that module. Carefully raise the tabs open enough to slide the plugs out. You got 2 plugs on the left side, and 1 on the right. They are made differently, and can't be mixed up when putting them back in overall. You'll see 2 bolts... one on either side that holds this assembly in place, and 1 more bolt on the bottom, close to the middle of the width... that all need to come out. Remove the spark plug wires first...if they are the originals, they will be numbered, if not, put tape on them and number them. Get that out of the way first, then ... unplug and move out of the way the 3 sets of wires that plug in the module, and remove the 3 bolts as described before. If your not sure sure what this device looks like, you can look at it at the parts store..if not actually buy it.... and you will see the tabs of where these 3 bolts goes into along with the 3 plugs of wire sets...be a guide to you.

If your talking about the (E. C.M.) "brain box"... it should be located on the passenger side, on what they call the "kick panel". It's the side panel right next to the right foot as a person sits down (passenger). Very important though!!!!............ make sure ALL numbers are the same thing reading on the label of this box!!! If you get your part through a salvage yard...ALL numbers that's on the label has to match up to your old box!!! If you don't, it won't work, and could possibly mess up your system! If your buying new, make sure that dealership knows exactly what vehicle numbers you have all the way around!................. Carefully remove it by prying it off. and that is a probable location, if not under neath the glove box area. Some people kind of get those two wordings mixed up at times. Be sure to disconnect the battery cable (positive) at first though!...then proceed to unplug either of these two device's...which ever your working on. All is done...then reconnect your batter cable, and should start right up, and run for sure.
