It is underneath the intake manifold, on the inside of the passenger side cylinder head. It cannot be removed without removing the intake. Note that, despite the instructions, you do not need to remove the upper intake from the lower. Don't waste the upper intake gasket. Remove it as an assembly. I also took out the fuel rail...I couldn't get the EGR tube out, and that is an alternative way to get to the far back, right intake bolt (facing the engine compartment from the front). Also, be VERY gentle with the plastic connectors as you remove them. I broke almost half my fuel injector connectors...nightmare. Good luck.
located in the cylinder head
Where is the cylinder head temperature sensor on the 2003 ford explorer v8 engine
The coolant temperature sensor on a 1997 Lincoln Continental is located on top of the engine, near the upper radiator hose. It constantly relays the engine's temperature to the computer.
Where is cylinder temp sensor on 2000 Ford f250 with v10 engine
It is an electrical device that tells back the engine temperature to both the temperature gauge and (where fitted) the engine management system.
A cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor for the Jaguar S-Type is a device that measures the temperature of the engine's cylinder head. This sensor provides critical data to the engine management system, helping to monitor engine performance and prevent overheating. By ensuring optimal operating temperatures, it plays a vital role in maintaining engine efficiency and longevity. If the sensor malfunctions, it can lead to inaccurate readings, potentially resulting in engine damage or reduced performance.
On the inside of the passenger's side cylinder head, unfortunately, under the intake manifold.
The Engine coolant temperature sensor is installed in a coolant passage which is located at the front left cornerof the cylinder head.
The temperature sensor to the computer is located on the thermostat housing. On the 4 cylinder it is on the right side of the engine block.
The 1999 F150 4.2 does not have a temperature sensor. It uses a cylinder head temperature sensor instead. It is mounted at the rear of the engine on the head.

On a 2003 Nissan Frontier with a 4-cylinder engine, the temperature sensor, commonly known as the coolant temperature sensor, is typically located near the thermostat housing. Specifically, it is usually positioned on the engine block, close to the cylinder head, allowing it to accurately measure the coolant temperature. If you're having trouble locating it, refer to the vehicle's service manual for detailed diagrams.
