The EVAP vent solenoid on a 2006 GMC Sierra is on the driver's side of the vehicle. It is on a bracket next to the gas tank.
The evap purge solenoid is located on the top of the engine. The evap vent solenoid is located in the rear drivers side wheel well, attached to the charcoal canister.
Is this reachable at home for chevy 98 camaro Evap purge solenoid

in the back on the drivers side
Above the spare tire.
Where is the evap purge control valve located on a 96 camaro
To remove and replace the EVAP vent solenoid on a 2006 GMC Envoy, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Locate the solenoid, typically found near the fuel tank, and disconnect the electrical connector and any attached hoses. Remove the mounting bolts securing the solenoid, then take out the old unit. Install the new solenoid by reversing the removal steps, ensuring all connections are secure before reconnecting the battery.
There is one solenoid on the charcoal evap. canister in the engine compartment. There is another one located near the gas tank underneath the chassis. That is the one that usually goes bad as road salt and moisture attack that one.
Hi Check Under the spare tire
Close to the gas tank on the driver side
Can't!! EVAP is the system that purges and burns vapors from gas tank. It either holds pressure like it should or has leak. Or the vent solenoid or control of solenoid is inop.
The vent control valve is located under the left rear fender and attached to the EVAP Canister, according to NTB96--07b. Good Luck
